D. Jackson Leigh grew up barefoot and happy, swimming in farm ponds and riding rude ponies in rural south Georgia. Her passion for writing led her to a career in journalism and North Carolina where she edits breaking news at night and writes lesbian romance stories with equestrian settings and a bit of Southern humor by day.

She has published eight novels and one collection of short stories with Bold Strokes Books, winning three Golden Crown Literary Society awards in paranormal, romance and fantasy categories. She also was a finalist in the romance category of the 2014 Lambda Literary Society Awards.

Her latest novel was released by Bold Strokes in February. “Tracker and the Spy” is the second book in the Dragon Horse War fantasy trilogy. Next up is “Swelter,” a romantic intrigue scheduled for release in December by Bold Strokes Books.
